The flamingo “Pink Floyd,” who escaped from Sedgwick County Zoo in Kansas in 2005 and was photographed by Bryan Stevens, stands as a symbol of defiance and the pursuit of freedom. As a social creature, Pink Floyd may have broken free from one cage, only to seek another driven by the instinct to belong. Much like humans, who often endure pain and reshape themselves just to be accepted by a different crowd.
