In today’s world, people are constantly confronted with limitations and pressures imposed by their surroundings—whether it be cramped living spaces, heavy responsibilities, economic decline, or the hidden inequalities embedded within social structures. It is we, as human beings, who must adapt, struggle, and search for meaning in our existence. This exhibition emerges as a space that reflects how art can become a voice, a dialogue, and a beacon of hope amidst the complexities of life, both in the physical and spiritual sense.

Pimpisa Anurit guides the audience into the world of “habitats” that are constrained and compressed within the metropolis of Bangkok. Here, the city becomes a stage for survival, shaped by capitalism and class inequality. Houses and objects are no longer mere shelters, but are reinvented, altered, and fused with life itself—forming a new landscape of adaptation, resilience, and survival in a world of scarcity.

Assadawut Sooksee, in contrast, employs abstract symbols—stones skimming across water, stairways into darkness, incomplete structures of houses—that transform into obstacles and arduous life paths. His works reveal the burdens and dreams that people inevitably shoulder, the inescapable shadows of uncertainty, and the glimmers of hope that remain waiting to be seized.

When these two practices converge, the exhibition does not merely echo the limitations of urban life but instead opens a space to perceive hope that grows amid social inequality. Through painting, Pimpisa renders the compressed dwellings of survival, while Assadawut channels personal symbols onto the canvas, embodying the burdens and uncertainties shared by all. Despite their differing approaches, both artists intersect and converse through painting—inviting the audience to reflect on the human condition: that even within unequal structures, people continue to struggle, and hope remains the vital force that allows us to move forward.
