มนุษย์คิดว่าตนเหนือกว่าสิ่งมีชีวิตอื่นใดบนโลก แต่กลับติดอยู่ในกรงล่องหนที่ถักทอไปด้วยภาพลวงตาของเสรีภาพ โซ่ล่องหนของค่านิยม บรรทัดฐานทางสังคม วัฒนธรรม ศาสนา พันธนาการมนุษย์ไว้ล่วงหน้าอย่างแนบเนียนตั้งแต่ก่อนลืมตาดูโลก

หากมนุษย์ยุคหินที่ได้มาเห็นเราในวันนี้คงตื่นเต้นกับโลกใหม่ที่สามารถเปลี่ยนโครงหน้าได้ตามฝัน แต่ขณะเดียวกันก็นำพาผู้คนจำนวนหนึ่งยอมแลกชีวิตในคลีนิคนิรนามเพียงเพื่อแลกใบหน้าใหม่เป็นวีซ่าผ่านแดนเข้าสังคม เหมือนดูละครตลกร้ายที่ไม่มีใครยอมลงจากเวที แม้บทจะนำพาไปสู่ความพังพินาศ

สำหรับสัตว์โลกไร้เดียงสามนุษย์คงเหมือนเพื่อนร่วมโลกที่มาพร้อมพฤติกรรมสุดแปลก สวมหน้ากากแห่งอิสระภาพอย่างแนบเนียน แต่กลับมีหัวใจที่เต้นตามจังหวะของสังคม ภาพฝันแห่งความสำเร็จกลืนกินจิตวิญญาณมนุษย์จำนวนไม่น้อยให้ยอมจำนนต่อแรงกดดันและเลือกจากโลกนี้ไปตลอดกาล เพียงเพราะก้าวพลาดจากเส้นทางที่เรียกว่า “ชีวิตในอุดมคติ”

ก่อนที่ผู้คนจะโบกมือลาเจตจำนงเสรีโดยไม่ทันได้ตั้งคำถาม หวังว่าพวกเราจะทันสังเกตเห็นเมล็ดพันธ์ุของระบบที่ถูกฝังอย่างแนบเนียนในทุกการตัดสินใจของชีวิตแบบไม่มีวันย้อนกลับ

Humans believe they are superior to all other living beings on Earth, but they are still trapped in invisible cages, woven from the illusion of freedom. These invisible forces bind us quietly, chained by values, social norms, cultural beliefs, and religions, embedded deep into our minds even before we open our eyes to the world.

If a Stone Age human saw us now, they would be amazed by a new world where faces can be reshaped according to fit their dreams. At the same time, some have risked everything in anonymous clinics all for a new face, all for a new face, a ‘visa’ that unlocks their way into society. It feels like a dark comedy where no one dares to exit the stage  even as the script was written to end in ruin

To the innocent animals of the world, humans may appear as earthly species adorned with a mask of illusory freedom, their hearts beating not for themselves, but for society’s rhythm. The illusion of success devours the human spirit. Many surrender to the pressure and leave this world forever, merely because they strayed from the path called ‘the ideal life’.

Before people bid farewell to free will without ever questioning it, I hope we will notice the seeds of a system that has been seamlessly planted in every irreversible decision of our lives
